Throwing from a footbridge

To view a past case dealing with a successful appeal against conviction by three men convicted of murdering the victim by throwing him from a footbridge, seeĀ http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/cases/wa/WASCA/2007/143.html.

The Court allowed the appeals, finding that the trial Judge had erred in jury directions as to the significance of lies alleged to have been told by an Appellant. Verdicts of acquittal were entered against each Appellant, the Court concluding that the guilty verdicts were unreasonable and could not be supported by the evidence led at trial.
